So Nicole, the "petite" model who is 5'7" is the winner of Cycle 13. While the so-called "fashionistas" are raving about how she's one of the best winners ever, I (and probably most petite activists out there) believe that Tyra and her people FAILED. Why bother choosing a winner who could is somewhere between model-petite (which is 5'7" or shorter) and standard? And she isn't even the shortest ANTM winner in history (the shortest was Eva Pigford, who is just under 5'7"). It just shows that ANTM wants people to believe that the only type of modelling is the fashion kind. In addition, throughout the entire cycle, there was NO MENTION of petite designers or even petite-friendly designers AT ALL. Shouldn't Tyra's people have done some research? Because it looks like they didn't. Maybe they should actually explain to the public why they didn't. Really, all they did was put out a casting call for short-for-model girls. EPIC FAIL, Tyra/ANTM!

Amen, my sister! I was VERY disappointed in Cycle 13. I wish Tyra would get brave and go all out petite, like true petite, like I wanna see some women like me on that show! (I'm 4'10") Why can't we be fashionable? I for one think that petite women are gorgeous and feminine, being taller then most guys is just not as sexy...some one NEEDS to break the standard! We're already underdogs everywhere else OMG! Can't fashion be for ALL of us!
PS I know right! I HATE when ppl say, "well, you could shop in the kids section.." OVER MY DEAD BODY! There's a big difference between a girl's body and a petite WOMAN'S body, thank you very much! Argh.
I totally, 100% agree.
Tyra, as a gigantoid woman, is naturally jealous of us cute little numbers, so of course she doesn't want us around making her look like a giant, which she is.
PS: If petite women are expected to shop in the kids' section, then shouldn't tall women be expected to shop in the mens section?
